Q: I want to organize birthday parties with Decathlon - How do I get started?
A: You will need to be in contact with your local activities leader.
You will also need the following documents: Insurance and Standard First Aid.
The local activities leader will then define the agreement with you.
Q: What is the cancelation policy for birthday parties?
A: The cancellation policy is the same for all activities. Participants will have 24 hours before to cancel the activity with full refund. Within 24 hours they will not be allowed to cancel or receive any refund.
Q: Can we take pictures during the birthday party?
A: Yes you may take pictures as long as there is signed consent in the waiver stating the purpose of the pictures collected.
Q: How do I contact the party family to receive information for allergies and sports recommendations?
A: You will send the message via coach portal to the party family through the contact the participants button found in the activity timeslot.
Q: How do I share the link with the party family?
A: Go to your portal and select the activity you wish to share. Click on Share your activity, then See the activity. You are now on the activity page, and you can simply click on Share, then on Copy link. Send the copied link using the contact the participants button found in the activity timeslot.
Q: Who do I contact to make the link private for the party guests?
A: Send in a request form at the top-right of the page with the full URL of the activity and that you are wanting to make this private. The team will reply within 24 hours stating that it is private.
Q: When do I schedule the time for the party?
A: Scheduling the party should always be a minimum of 2 weeks from the date you are making it live. This allows participants to book and gives you time to make the link private for the party guests. Schedule the timeslot for the time of your activity. Depending on your local activities leader you may be there a minimum 15 minutes before and after for set up and take down.
Q: Who is responsible for setting up and cleaning up the space(s)?
A: The organizer and party goers are responsible for ensuring that all areas are left in the same condition as when they first arrived. It is the organizers responsibility above all that the space is clean and up to standards set out by the agreement with the local store.
Q: Who is responsible for supplying the food and/or beverages?
A: It is the responsibility of the organizer to understand the agreement with the local store on what is acceptable in store. The organizer must have basic training in food safety and handling. Should the party bring in their own food it is up to the organizer to make sure that it is acceptable within the agreement.
